Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement a Comprehensive Privacy Program: Create and maintain a robust privacy program that addresses all aspects of data protection, including data collection, storage, use, and disclosure.
  • Ensure Compliance with Applicable Laws and Regulations: Stay up-to-date with changing laws and regulations, such as HIPAA, HITECH, and GDPR, and ensure that our organization is in compliance with all relevant requirements.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with our research, clinical, and administrative teams to ensure that our privacy program is integrated into all aspects of our operations.
  • Develop and Implement Policies and Procedures: Create and maintain policies and procedures that ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data.
  • Provide Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that all employees understand their roles and responsibilities in protecting sensitive data.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments and Audits: Identify and mitigate potential risks to our organization's data and ensure that our privacy program is effective in preventing data breaches.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in a Relevant Field: A master's degree in a field such as law, healthcare, or business is required.
  • 8+ Years of Experience in Privacy and Compliance: A minimum of 8 years of experience in privacy and compliance, with a focus on healthcare and research, is required.
  • Certification in Privacy and Compliance: Certification in privacy and compliance, such as CIPP or CIPM, is highly desirable.
