Your Role:

As the Assistant Wellness Director, you will play a vital role in supporting the Wellness Director in managing health and supportive services for our residents within an Assisted Living Community. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing daily clinical operations to ensure that all healthcare needs of residents are met.
  • Providing guidance, training, and supervision to staff in delivering direct care.
  • Conducting ongoing assessments of residents' physical and psychosocial well-being, collaborating with various departments to ensure quality care.
  • Engaging with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to foster a community of support.

Key Responsibilities:


• Promote a resident-centered approach in service planning and delivery, respecting residents' rights and dignity.
• Assess health and functional status, developing individualized service plans to enhance residents' quality of life.
• Coordinate care with community professionals, including physicians and nursing staff, to meet residents' needs.
• Arrange for ancillary services such as pharmacy and lab work as required.
• Delegate nursing tasks in accordance with nursing laws and maintain regular communication with residents and their families.
• Train and supervise staff in personal care and medication management, ensuring adherence to our care philosophy.
• Provide support and education to residents and families regarding health maintenance and medical conditions.


Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in good standing.
• Strong problem-solving skills in resident care and staff management.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in geriatric or senior care nursing, with a focus on medication administration.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory or management role, with experience in budgeting and staff development.
