Medical Support Specialist

Join the South Carolina Department of Mental Health in providing exceptional care to individuals with mental illnesses, substance abuse issues, and other behavioral health concerns. As a Nursing Assistant (Non-Certified) at our WSHPI facility in Columbia, SC, you will play a vital role in delivering therapeutic care and supporting patients in meeting their daily living needs.
The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is passionate about delivering quality care and has excellent communication skills. You should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for our patients.
About the Role:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide basic care and support to patients with physical or behavioral challenges
- Participate in maintaining a clean and therapeutic environment by being productively occupied at all times
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
About the Benefits:
- A competitive salary range of $32,686.00 - $60,471.00 annually, based on experience and qualifications
