Job Summary:

As a Pharmacy Operations Manager at Walgreens, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. This role requires a strong leader who can manage a team of pharmacy technicians and cashiers, while also maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate pharmacy operations, including scheduling, training, and performance management of pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve pharmacy workflow and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to achieve business objectives and improve pharmacy performance.
  • Provide coaching and training to pharmacy technicians and cashiers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, including inventory management, patient data, and pharmacy operations metrics.
  • Communicate effectively with pharmacy team members, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred.
  • At least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in a retail or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy operations, including inventory management, patient data, and pharmacy workflow.
  • Experience with training and development programs, including coaching and mentoring.
