Production Optimization Lead

Plasser American Corp, a leading industrial manufacturing company in the railroad industry, is seeking an experienced Production Optimization Lead to join our dynamic team. This role plays a crucial part in optimizing production schedules and ensuring efficient resource allocation across diverse business units.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of low volume, high product mix manufacturing processes and be proficient in utilizing advanced planning techniques to optimize resource utilization, minimize lead times, and enhance overall manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Comprehensive Production Schedules
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information and ensure alignment between production schedules and business objectives
  • Optimize Resource Utilization and Minimize Lead Times
  • Proactively identify and address scheduling conflicts, bottlenecks, and potential issues, implementing solutions to ensure on-time delivery
  • Integrate Scheduling Processes Seamlessly
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to scheduling and production, providing regular reports and insights to management
  • Evaluate and Refine Scheduling Strategies
  • Lead and facilitate communication between production, procurement, and other relevant departments to maintain a synchronized and collaborative workflow
  • Mentor and guide junior scheduling staff, sharing best practices and contributing to professional development

Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Master Scheduler role within a multi-business unit industrial manufacturing setting
  • Extensive knowledge and proficiency in working with Infor LN ERP system
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across teams
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively
