Job Title: Data Governance, Senior

At Freddie Mac, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance, Senior to join our team. As a key member of our Information and Technology Risk Governance Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of information risk across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform data, privacy, and cyber governance and compliance activities, as well as identity and access management.
  • Work closely with key partners and engage with Business and Technology Office (BTO) personnel to monitor compliance with information risk policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Evaluate and assess the information risk profile for the division.
  • Monitor and facilitate compliance with Corporate Policies and Standards for the division.
  • Craft strategies around data quality and implementation of metadata and information governance.
  • Develop and maintain processes and procedures to align with divisional and enterprise standards related to privacy, information security, information classification, records retention and disposal, digital governance, and data governance.
  • Provide input to reporting on information risk metrics.
  • Lead the divisional phishing protocol, including training and review of job aids.
  • Partner with appropriate groups to develop and implement effective strategies related to information risk management and governance.
  • Develop management reporting related to information risk.
Requirements:
  • 8 years of information risk governance experience within the financial services industry.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience defining and detailing business processes and information flows, including metadata and data lineage.
  • Proven understanding of industry standard processes related to information risk management.
  • Experience crafting and maintaining operational policies, standards, and procedures related to managing information risk, including privacy risk, cyber risk, identity and access management, and data governance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $105,000 - $157,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program.
