Product Manager - Boiler and Cooling Towers

H-O-H Water Technology is a leading, growing, third-generation water treatment company celebrating 56 years of business. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Manager focused on Boiler and Cooling Towers to join our team.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, and we are seeking a candidate located in the vicinity of clients in the Midwest, ideally in the Chicagoland area. This position offers flexibility with remote, hybrid, or in-office work arrangement at our Palatine, IL office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary technical resource for troubleshooting boiler and cooling tower industrial water systems.
  • Provide regular training to Sales and Service teams on the assigned product line, ensuring they are well-versed in technical documentation and tools.
  • Collaborate with sales and service teams to effectively communicate technical aspects to end users and recommend tailored technical solutions to meet client needs.
  • Conduct program audits to drive continuous improvement, working closely with Business Development Managers and Water Quality Engineers to cross-sell and implement projects identified through the program audits.
  • Establish feedback loops to enhance the product based on user insights and market changes.
  • Maintain up-to-date supporting documents, including Product Data Sheets, Case Studies, Product Application Guides, and ERP & CRM product files.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond.
  • Present product updates, performance metrics, and strategic outcomes to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience with boiler and cooling tower water treatment industrial sector. Proven experience in product management, technical support, audits, or related roles.
  • Candidate must have excellent communication and presentation abilities. Organizational skills, detail-oriented, and result-driven mindset with a passion for driving product excellence. A high level of dedication to be a team player.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate technical information into actionable insights.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, preferred but if the candidate has no degree, then the candidate must have obtained knowledge in the field through a combination of work experience and intellectual instruction.
  • Must pass a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE), Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), Drug Screening, and background check.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time driving to customer sites.
  • Must be in good physical condition: frequent walking to customer sites, may perform physical work such as climbing stairs or ladders, sometimes moving drums of chemical.
  • Must be willing to work in environments with hot and cold temperatures, exposure to chemicals, noise, wearing proper PPE on face, ears, hands.
  • Must be able to communicate in English and ability to read proficiently in English.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
