Job Overview

The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our residents through phone and in-person interactions. This role involves creating and following up on work orders, dispatching staff and business partners, and collaborating with the Maintenance Manager on various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Listen to and address customer concerns related to maintenance items
  • Create and manage work orders for contractors and staff
  • Close completed work orders and ensure timely resolution
  • Communicate with residents through written correspondence
  • Track and manage front yard landscape modifications
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager with miscellaneous projects and tasks
  • Compile information on accidents, work with insurance companies, and provide updates to the accounting clerk
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
  • Adhere to FirstService Residential's Global Service Standards
  • Conduct business with the highest standards of personal, professional, and ethical conduct
  • Perform or assist with operations as required to maintain workflow and meet schedules
  • Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional materials and supplies
  • Participate in meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and provide recommendations on process changes
Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong ethical practices and a commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn and work in a proprietary software program called Connect
  • Strong internal and external customer relations skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, residents, and other stakeholders
  • Excellent general math skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask, implement, and monitor progress for successful completion
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and delivering results
Physical Requirements and Working Environment
