Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer

As a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer at Abbott, you'll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment where you can grow and learn. You'll be responsible for providing support to the Manufacturing organization to facilitate efficient operations within the production area, optimize existing processes, and ensure that production goals are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor performance of equipment, machines, and tools and correct equipment problems or process parameters that produce nonconforming products, low yields, or product quality issues.
- Interface with Quality and Research and Development organizations to integrate new products or processes into the existing manufacturing area.
- Develop processes for manufacturing or testing of the product.
- Understand business environment and relate extensive knowledge of internal and external technological activities to trends.
- May lead a project team. Provides technical leadership to business units. Acts as a mentor to less-experienced staff and may provide work direction or supervise other technical employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Biomedical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 6+ year of significant engineering experience in the medical device field.
