Role Summary:

Trove Home Care seeks dedicated caregivers to assist clients in their homes during evening hours. The role involves providing essential support for daily activities, ranging from companionship to personal care, depending on client needs.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Caregivers will engage in companionship tasks, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and transportation assistance.
  • Those with relevant training may also deliver personal care services, such as bathing, dressing, mobility assistance, and grooming.
  • Reliable transportation and valid vehicle insurance are required for travel to clients' residences and occasional errands.
  • Candidates should demonstrate kindness, compassion, empathy, flexibility, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Active caregivers must complete a minimum of 12 hours of annual training to maintain certification.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs is necessary.

Key Duties:

Caregivers are expected to adhere to all agency policies and procedures, including providing care, maintaining confidentiality, and following the agency's dress code. Punctuality and attendance are critical for success in this role.

General Responsibilities:

  • Communicate regularly with the scheduling team to update availability.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members, including nursing directors and care managers, to prioritize client needs.
  • Review the client's care plan thoroughly before each shift.
  • Document care notes for clients using mobile devices after each shift.
  • Uphold the values of Trove Home Care with professionalism and compassion.

For those with Personal Care Training, responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as mobility, bathing, hygiene, toileting, dressing, grooming, and transfers.
