Job Title: Caregiver/CNA - Evenings

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/CNA to join our team at AmeriCARE - Richmond, VA. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to our clients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Job Summary:

The Caregiver role is a dynamic and rewarding position that requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care and service. As a Caregiver, you will work closely with our clients to understand their unique needs and preferences, and develop personalized care plans to meet their requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide medication management and administration
  • Assist clients with ambulation and mobility, including transfers and positioning
  • Support clients with personal care and hygiene, including toileting and incontinence care
  • Prepare meals and snacks, and assist with light housekeeping duties
  • Collect information about client conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors, and family members
  • Report any unusual incidents or concerns to nurses, doctors, and family members
Requirements:
  • Previous caregiver experience preferred, but not required
  • Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
  • Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
  • Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
  • Must be respectful, compassionate, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
