Job Title: Cloud Services Programmer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Services Programmer to join our team at NavitsPartners.

Job Summary

The Cloud Services Programmer will be responsible for supporting a project involving the development of a collection and processing pipeline, as well as database development. This role includes the initial deployment of enterprise cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deploy cloud-based systems using AWS cloud development.
  • Work in Agile environments and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Design and implement backend services using Python and frontend development using Angular or React.
  • Develop and maintain cloud and DevOps expertise, including advanced knowledge of cloud technology platforms, tools, and database management.
  • Lead one or more areas such as database management, programming, cloud security/recovery, and cloud integration.
  • Write Python code and deploy infrastructure using AWS CDK or Terraform.
  • Develop containerized applications with REST APIs using Angular or React in Typescript.
  • Familiarity with AWS CloudWatch and AWS CloudTrail for logging and monitoring in regulated environments.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting, remediation, and unit testing during application development and deployment.
Deliverables
  • Develop and deploy AWS-based systems.
  • Develop and maintain GovCloud expertise.
  • Design and implement Python application development, including code structure, packaging, and deployment.
  • Develop Airflow workflow design using Python code.
  • Write unit tests and apply mocking techniques.
  • Familiarity with Docker and AWS Lambda development.
  • Design and implement Glue jobs using Python Shell and PySpark.
  • Experience with SNS/SQL, event-triggering, and AWS Step Functions.
  • Understanding of logging mechanisms in AWS.
  • Experience with Postgres and Redshift for database development and data migration.
  • Experience building and accessing Data Lakes using Glue, Athena, Redshift, and building data access APIs.
  • Implement granular access security for databases and data lakes, with integration of Okta/Cognito for access control.
