Mammography Technologist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography exams, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Position patients and operate equipment to obtain high-quality mammography images.
  • Determine appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patient condition.
  • Secure patient history and record on appropriate forms for radiologist review.
  • Label and process radiographs according to department standards.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of AMA-approved school/program of Radiologic Technology.
  • Three years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with preference for mammography experience.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in mammography (RTM).
  • Licensed by the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety (IDNS).
