About the Role

Ascension is seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mammography imaging services to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Operate mammography equipment and perform various procedures to ensure accurate and high-quality images.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging, selecting anatomic and technical parameters as needed.
  • Explain procedures and educate patients about the importance of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
  • Develop and evaluate film for technical quality, following radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography (ARRT), Radiologic Technologist issued by Radiology Tech licensure (Illinois Emergency Mgmt Agency), or Medical Sonographer (ARDMS).
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
