Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our development team and drive the design, development, testing, and deployment of high-quality applications for our video management portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative software solutions.
  • Ensure Agile SDLC roles are effectively executing their responsibilities and provide support when needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering leadership practices.
  • Work closely with engineering and product leadership to prioritize team objectives.
  • Anticipate future needs and balance short-term and long-term goals.
  • Provide Agile coaching, career planning, and training opportunities for staff.
  • Motivate and grow engineers and scrum teams to achieve high performance.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of technical leadership and/or engineering management experience.
  • 10+ years of experience developing, testing, and deploying distributed applications (mobile client applications, Windows applications, web applications, cloud microservices, and server applications).
  • A solid foundation in computer science fundamentals and software engineering best practices in an Agile environment.
  • A passion for building high-performance teams that deliver high-quality software.
  • A BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • The ability to multitask with a strong sense of urgency.
  • The ability to hold teams accountable.
  • The ability to clearly explain complex concepts.
  • The ability to research and learn new topics quickly.
  • Comfortable working with remote team members.

  • Hands-on experience with continuous delivery tools and best practices.
  • Experience with organizational change management.
  • Experience with media delivery over IP networks.
  • Experience with distributed applications development.
  • Experience with mobile applications development.
  • Experience with microservice development.
