Job Summary

A dynamic and forward-thinking bank is seeking a seasoned Commercial Loan Officer to join their team. As a key member of the bank's commercial lending division, this individual will be responsible for cultivating new business relationships, deepening existing ones, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients and centers of influence.
  2. Cross-Selling and Relationship Building: Leverage established partnerships with various bank departments to cross-sell products and services, meeting client needs and deepening relationships.
  3. Credit Analysis and Risk Management: Determine initial credit worthiness by understanding credit strengths and weaknesses of clients, ensuring credit quality standards are met and maintained.
  4. Transaction Underwriting and Closing: Coordinate with the Loan Committee in the underwriting of transactions, negotiate with clients to obtain optimal terms and conditions, and oversee the proper execution of documents.
  5. Client Service and Support: Provide direct service to assigned commercial clients, offering deposit, loan, and other miscellaneous products and services.
  6. Record Keeping and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of client service calls and meetings, ensuring compliance with bank policies and procedures.
  7. Product Knowledge and Expertise: Possess a working knowledge of the features and benefits of all corporate banking products and services.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance-related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of business banking experience.
  • CRE (Commercial and Industrial) certification a plus.
  • Strong credit background.
