Position Overview:

CORA is currently looking for a Secondary Reading Educator to serve in non-public educational institutions across the city.

Compensation:
Starting Salary: BA level $46,757 | MA level $49,679
Salary adjustments based on additional qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver remedial, diagnostic, or consultative support to students, families, and educational staff.
  • Conduct small group instruction aimed at enhancing academic performance, particularly in reading and mathematics.
  • Comply with agency protocols regarding caseload management and accountability.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary functions, including regular meetings and consultations with the CORA school services team.
  • Organize appropriate groups and manage instructional time effectively.
  • Track educational progress according to established objectives outlined in each student's Learning Plan.
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Refer students needing additional services as appropriate.
  • Prepare written progress reports as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited teaching program.
  • PA teaching certification reflecting secondary education or middle school certification in English or Reading Specialist.
  • Strong working knowledge of the educational field.
  • Wilson Certification is a plus.
