Position: Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Description: This role involves a senior-level technician responsible for the upkeep and repair of various systems within the facility, including utilities and HVAC. The technician will apply a range of skills in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and welding to ensure optimal operation of equipment. Night shift personnel will also support the maintenance of production machinery. Responsibilities include participation in the design, installation, and commissioning of new systems, as well as coordinating repairs and installations. The technician will conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs while ensuring a safe working environment. Operation of forklifts and scissor lifts may be required. Compensation is hourly, with a range from $18.40 to $30.50, and includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision coverage, paid time off, and a 401k savings plan. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate various equipment as needed
  • Inspect and repair electrical systems, including circuits and wiring
  • Troubleshoot and maintain facilities and automated systems
  • Provide necessary technical documentation and guidance
  • Establish maintenance standards
  • Collaborate with external contractors for repair tasks

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred experience of 2-4 years in a related field
  • Welding and forklift certifications are advantageous
  • EPA certification for refrigerants is preferred
  • Experience with industrial controls or electronic repairs is beneficial
