Job Overview

Respond, Inc. is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at our administrative offices in North Camden, NJ. This full-time, hourly position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain buildings in a clean, safe, and attractive condition with properly functioning systems
  • Clean and assist with upkeep of facilities, including manual repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs and perform manual repairs when necessary
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and other tasks as assigned, including painting, carpentry, and landscaping
  • Perform maintenance of electrical systems, inspect alarm systems, and schedule repairs when needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to follow instructions from Directors and Supervisors
  • Knowledge of general carpentry and repair, as well as general maintenance processes and methods
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Ability to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
