Overview

Southern Regional Medical Center, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a skilled Charge Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team. As a Charge Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and leading a team of dedicated professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of patient care that meets the highest standards.
  • Assist the Department Director in the daily operation of the ICU, including staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to ensure smooth coordination of services and efficient patient flow.
  • Assess patient care delivery and quality of care, making immediate changes as necessary to ensure patient safety and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
  • Interview patients and families to enhance positive patient experiences and provide comprehensive orientation to the patient care unit.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Previous supervisory experience in an acute care hospital, ICU setting, preferred.
  • Minimum of one year staff nurse experience in an acute care hospital setting, Critical Care setting preferred.
  • CCRN (AACN) certification within 2 years of hire, preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN), preferred.
