Certified Medical Assistant

Clinical Support
- Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms
- Prepare patients for exams or treatments
- Take vital signs
Assist physicians with assessments, give medication as ordered, and perform administrative duties to further patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Spirometry and breathing tests as ordered
- Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments
- Call in prescriptions as ordered by physicians or nurse practitioners
- Administer allergy injections to shot patients
- Monitor patients' medical status for possible adverse reactions
- Maintain emergency equipment and respond to patient-related telephone calls
Qualifications:
- High school degree required
- CMA certificate desirable
- At least one year of experience in clinical assisting
- Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications
- Knowledge of practice management and word processing software
- Good communication skills
