Role Overview:

The Quality Resident Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction through effective technical support and quality management. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and relationship building with our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate customer satisfaction by providing technical assistance and addressing quality concerns.
  • Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with clients at the operational level.
  • Act as the primary representative for the contracted customer, addressing production challenges and ensuring credibility through fulfilled commitments.
  • Maintain clear and direct communication between the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the contracted customer.
  • Propose enhancements to processes for both the OEM and the contracted customer.
  • Conduct immediate analysis of issues at the OEM facility to identify appropriate solutions and prevent claims, while informing relevant production teams for corrective actions.
  • Deliver ongoing updates to the customer regarding the status and progress of existing claims.
  • Engage in customer meetings as necessary to discuss quality and technical matters.
  • Seek continuous feedback, both formal and informal, regarding customer satisfaction with our products and services.
  • Regularly audit how the customer utilizes our products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Stay informed and updated on technical and quality-related topics through regular training and visits to partner facilities.
  • Report any competitive initiatives or projects to the TRIGO Resident liaison Manager.
  • Provide regular reports to the designated team or contact partner.
  • Participate in prototype development, pre-production builds, and engineering changes as required.
  • Report to the TRIGO Country Resident Manager and defined external contacts.
  • Support customer requirements regarding technical changes and provide necessary technical assistance.
  • Represent the interests of the contracted partner and the customer.
  • Coordinate on-site repair and sorting activities, ensuring all actions are based on written confirmation from the contracted client.

Required Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in process management and controls.
  • Experience in implementing standardized work practices.
  • Background in process and product audits.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving operations.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to guide teams effectively.
  • Experience with automotive parts sequencing is preferred.
  • Prior experience with Tier 1 suppliers is advantageous.
