Job Summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Research Nurse Interventionist. This is a part-time position, working 20 hours a week, and is located in Olympia, Washington.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review EPIC schedules and screen patients for eligibility
  • Conduct informed consent and administer questionnaires to participants
  • Collect nose and throat swabs and blood draws from participants
  • Utilize professional clinical skills and training for independent decision making
  • Develop project intervention plans and tools, data collection instruments, and manual of operations
  • Plan, implement, and monitor participant safety and data quality control measures
  • Participate in research project team meetings and identify problems and propose solutions
Requirements
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience performing professional functions required by the project
  • Certifications, licenses, or degrees as determined by the needs of the research projects
  • Knowledge of research data collection requirements and specialized clinical intervention/measurement/assessment skills
  • A thorough understanding of regulatory policies governing industry practices, HIPAA requirements for clinical research, and knowledgeable about patient safety and quality control requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree or PhD in health-related field
