Position Overview:
An exceptional opportunity is available for a dedicated and empathetic Pediatric Surgical Nurse to become an integral part of our Surgery Center. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about providing care to young patients. Our facility is committed to delivering outstanding healthcare in a supportive environment for our staff.
The selected nurse will be responsible for providing Pre-Operative, Operating Room, and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing services to pediatric patients at our outpatient surgical facility.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and document nursing care for preoperative pediatric patients.
- Collaborate with the preoperative team to ensure optimal nursing care and patient outcomes.
- Work closely with surgeons and anesthesia specialists to ensure safe postoperative care for children.
- Provide continuous nursing support for postoperative patients, including thorough monitoring and assessment.
- Assist patients in their recovery process following anesthesia.
- Educate families regarding tailored home recovery strategies.
- Shifts may vary between 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM or 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
- Graduate from an accredited Nursing School.
- A minimum of one year of RN experience is preferred.
- Experience in pediatric or outpatient surgical environments is a plus.
- Ability to obtain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six months of employment.
- Valid RN License in Pennsylvania.
