Simulation Coordinator Job Description

Fortis College, a leading provider of nursing education, is seeking a highly skilled Simulation Coordinator to join our team at our Cincinnati location.

Job Summary:

The Simulation Coordinator will collaborate with nursing faculty to design, develop, and implement simulation-based learning experiences that meet course and clinical objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of nursing education and simulation-based learning, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with nursing faculty to develop and implement simulation-based learning experiences
  • Design and develop simulation scenarios and educational materials
  • Ensure supervision of students in the simulation lab and maintain safe practices
  • Support the development of the program's philosophy, objectives, and curriculum
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and standards of the Board of Nursing

Requirements:

  • Unencumbered state licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of a BSN; MSN, PhD, or DNP desired
  • Minimum of one year of didactic or clinical nursing teaching experience
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check
  • Current clinical nursing knowledge and ongoing maintenance of clinical competency
  • Classroom and clinical experience in academia
  • Minimum of three years of recent clinical experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally, written, and orally
  • Good organizational skills
