Research Nurse Coordinator Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Nurse Coordinator to join our team at the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute in Newark, DE.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary cancer center, collaborating with a team of specialists to create and implement treatment plans for patients. As a Research Nurse Coordinator, you will be responsible for screening, enrolling, planning, implementing, and evaluating protocol-related care for assigned research projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and implement complex hematology/oncology/screening protocols for multiple patients on multiple protocols.
  • Coordinate all aspects of protocol treatment and monitoring, ensuring everything is completed and documented.
  • Maintain patient research charts containing source documents supporting all reported data.
  • Develop methods and systems to ensure patient compliance with protocol procedures.
  • Serve as a preceptor and mentor for new or less experienced research nurse coordinators and clinical research associates.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary clinics and tumor conferences, pre-screening patients for participation in clinical trials.
  • Collect, document, and report medical data required by study protocols from various resources.
  • Interpret complex laboratory, pathology, and molecular testing results to determine study eligibility and outcomes.
Requirements
  • DE RN License or Compact Nursing License.
  • BSN required or commitment to obtain BSN within three years of the hire date.
  • BLS Required.
  • Minimum of two years oncology experience required.
  • Certification in oncology nursing preferred.
