Mental Health Specialist

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team in Medford, Massachusetts.
About the RoleThis is an ongoing opportunity to provide 20 hours of support per week, with a flexible 8-hour day shift. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to patients with a range of psychiatric illnesses.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including accurate and timely documentation of patient records.
- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients, promoting a safe and supportive environment.
- Participate in patient rounds and teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Identify and address patient behaviors that contribute to crisis situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; two years of college plus one year of clinical experience preferred.
- Previous experience in direct patient care, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
