About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team in Medford, Massachusetts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic milieu under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
  • Accurately and timely document patient information, progress notes, and observation sheets.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with patients, adhering to established boundaries.
  • Participate in patient rounds and teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Identify and address patient behaviors contributing to crisis situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques.
  • Communicate patient status changes to the Registered Nurse and follow established protocols.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required; two years of college plus one year of clinical experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in direct patient care, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic medical records.
