About the Role

The Department of Labor/Personnel is seeking a highly skilled Employment Services Representative to join our team. As an Employment Services Representative, you will play a critical role in promoting NYSDOL Business Services to businesses and engaging with stakeholders to provide employment, re-employment, training, and labor market services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the skills of workers impacted by layoffs and develop targeted job fairs and recruitment events.
  • Represent DEWS and DOL at job fairs and coordinate community relations programs with partner organizations.
  • Outreach to businesses and engage them in the promotion and usage of available services and provide technical assistance to facilitate their use of these services.
  • Monitor business activities and follow up to ensure business needs are met.
Requirements
  • Ability to initiate and maintain relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
