Job Summary

Northstar Behavioral Health Network is a leading provider of specialized healthcare services, focusing on the treatment of substance use disorders and intensive residential care. We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and adhering to established protocols.
  • Administer medications accurately, monitoring patient response and documenting outcomes.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, staff, and physicians, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in client admissions, narcotics counts, and prior authorizations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct MAR audits and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide timely and accurate change of shift reports, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Answer and refer telephone calls, facilitating accurate and timely communication.
Requirements
  • Valid LPN licensure in the state of MN.
  • Comprehensive understanding of MN Statutes related to providing services for the population NBHN serves.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification or attainment within 30 days of employment.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite programs.
  • Familiarity with Procentive, Electronic Health Record System (preferred).
