We are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to support our team in providing exceptional patient care in a physician practice office setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examinations and administer injections and immunizations.
- Perform laboratory testing, EKGs, and other medical office procedures.
- Schedule appointments and testing procedures, and work in both front office and clinical areas.
- Assist physicians with comprehensive documentation and arrange diagnostic testing, specialist appointments, and hospital admissions.
- Perform phlebotomy, administer injections, immunizations, and other procedures, as well as measuring and recording vital signs.
- Conduct telephone triage, ensuring information availability, and assist nurse practitioners/physicians as needed.
- Maintain patient areas, order supplies, support management decisions, and participate in team building and performance improvement activities.
- Train other Medical Assistants, notify management of workload changes, and complete educational requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of qualified Medical Assistant course
- Minimum: Certified or Registered Medical Assistant and Basic Life Safety (American Heart Association) Education
Preferred Qualifications:
- One or more years of Medical Office experience and previous patient care experience in a physician office specialty area
- Technical/other training or better in Medical Assisting, BLS Certification, Cert Clin Medical Asst, Certified Medical Assistant, Nat Reg Cert Med Asst, Reg Medical Assistant
