Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for physician examination
  • Administer injections and immunizations
  • Perform laboratory testing, EKGs, and other medical office procedures
  • Arrange for diagnostic testing, specialist appointments, and hospital admission
  • Initiate and finalize managed care referrals
  • Perform telephone triage
  • Maintain examination rooms
  • Measure and record vital signs
  • Contribute to team building through support of management decisions and performance improvement activities
Requirements:
  • Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of a qualified Medical Assistant course
  • Experience: None required, but preferred experience in a medical office setting
  • License/Certification: Certified or Registered Medical Assistant and Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
