Packaging Equipment Specialist

3rd Shift 10:00pm - 6:30am M-F
COMPENSATION:
$24.84 per hour
ROLE OVERVIEW:
This position is integral to our Purina Animal Nutrition division, supporting our extensive network of local cooperatives, independent dealers, and major retailers in providing essential services to producers and animal owners across the nation.
Through innovative research and development, along with steadfast partnerships, we create nutritional products and methodologies that enhance the well-being and productivity of every animal.
The Packaging Equipment Specialist is responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment, which includes:
- Operating machinery for processing, assembly, or packaging to meet production specifications and quality standards.
- Handling, packing, and sorting both raw materials and finished products.
- Monitoring output quality to identify and address any defective products.
- Maintaining precise daily production records to assist in performance analysis.
- Conducting thorough inspections of production materials.
This role involves operating all equipment and processes while monitoring machine parameters and resolving any processing issues.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
Basic computer proficiency
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Age: 18 years or older
Comprehension Skills:
Ability to read, write, and understand verbal and written instructions.
Critical Thinking:
Utilizing logic and reasoning to evaluate various solutions and approaches to challenges.

Commitment to ensuring personal and co-worker safety at all times.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Regularly required to lift up to 50 lbs.
Frequent movements including walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
Performing tasks while wearing personal protective equipment.
Working in varying temperature zones and environments that may include dust.
Shift schedules may include days, nights, weekends, and occasional overtime.
