We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities and Equipment Specialist to join our team at Slick Rock Tanning & Spa. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment, providing exceptional client experiences, and contributing to the growth and success of our company.

The Mission

As a Facilities and Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and functionality of all Slick Rock locations, planning and prioritizing routes to optimize efficiency, performing routine and preventative maintenance on sunbeds, spa equipment, HVAC systems, and other facilities, and troubleshooting technical and mechanical issues. You will also be responsible for completing repairs accurately, assisting with unit installations and big event setup/teardown, and performing minor plumbing, electrical repairs, and carpentry work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the appearance and functionality of all Slick Rock locations.
  • Plan and prioritize routes to optimize efficiency, minimizing downtime.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on sunbeds, spa equipment, HVAC systems, and other facilities.
  • Troubleshoot technical and mechanical issues involving spa equipment, spray tan booths, sunbeds, computers, and appliances.
  • Complete repairs accurately to ensure first-time fixes.
  • Assist with unit installations and big event setup/teardown.
  • Perform minor plumbing, electrical repairs, and carpentry work.
  • Maintain clean workspaces and uphold Slick Rock standards.
  • Collaborate with salon staff to ensure consistent service and policy adherence.

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in maintenance, construction, or a related field is preferred.
  • Electrical or mechanical knowledge is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean DMV record.
  • Experience using various manual and power tools.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to navigate all facility areas and equipment, work in confined spaces, and climb ladders carrying up to 40 lbs.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs (team lift up to 100 lbs).
  • Ability to work 8+ hour shifts with extended periods of standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Travel up to 20% required.
  • Must comply with OSHA-required PPE standards.

  • Monday to Friday: 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
