Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates the production processes involving milling, turning, and grinding operations.

  • Assesses program cycle times against projected estimates and benchmarks to ensure adherence to cost objectives.
  • Works alongside laboratory engineers, process engineers, and machine operators to guarantee the production of components that meet all technical and quality specifications.
  • Possesses a solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Provides support to machinists regarding setup, part handling, and inspection inquiries.
  • Develops setup documentation.
  • Contributes to the evaluation and enhancement of manufacturing processes by analyzing product specifications and investigating, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing techniques and equipment.
  • Identifies and resolves process and tool-related challenges, enhancing productivity.
  • Conducts all activities in a manner that prioritizes the safety of oneself and others.
  • Utilizes continuous improvement methodologies to drive operational enhancements.
Required Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in multi-axis milling, turning, and grinding processes (experience in aerospace is preferred).
  • Experience in lean manufacturing principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively schedule and organize personnel and time to fulfill assigned tasks.
  • Skilled in reading, analyzing, and interpreting customer drawings, specifications, procedures, and standards.
  • Proficient in computer systems and basic software applications, with experience in CAD.
Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is preferred.
