Key Responsibilities- Hybrid IT Operations: Support day-to-day operations of our hybrid IT environment, ensuring seamless integration of on-premises and cloud-based systems.
- System Administration: Responsible for daily systems administration in support of on-premises (VMware) and cloud (AWS) environments and applications.
- Infrastructure Services: Operate and manage infrastructure services, including incident response and coordination of MSP response, to ensure high availability and performance.
- Disaster Recovery: Manage disaster recovery (DR) for servers, databases, and file shares, ensuring business continuity in the event of a disaster.
- Endpoint Management: Administer endpoint dependencies, including central patching, application delivery, and updates, to ensure secure and up-to-date systems.
- Windows Server Management: Support, maintain, and implement Window Servers (Vmware) to ensure efficient and secure operation.
- Active Directory Management: Manage Windows client and Server operating systems in an Active Directory environment, ensuring secure and efficient access to resources.
- Infrastructure Device Management: Support and manage infrastructure devices, including LAN, WAN, VPN, Firewall, Switches, Routers, Server Hardware, to ensure high availability and performance.
- Security Management: Manage security certificates and ensure secure communication between systems.
- Documentation and Knowledge Management: Maintain technical configuration and knowledge base documentation to ensure easy access to information and efficient knowledge sharing.
- Monitoring and Alerting: Monitor and respond to alerts and incidents, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing downtime.
- Troubleshooting and Escalation: Troubleshoot and address hardware, software, and OS-related issues, escalating complex problems to senior staff as needed.
- Project Participation: Participate in testing and implementation of new or upgraded servers and software applications, ensuring smooth transition and minimal disruption.
- Training and Development: Support and supplement available training for end-user service or application issues, including Linux OS, to ensure efficient and effective support.
- Storage System Management: Provide support to on-prem and Cloud storage systems based on NetApp platforms, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Mentorship and Training: Participate and provide mentoring in the IT department's Co-Op program, assisting Co-Ops with improving IT workflows and processes, while enabling them to learn and apply new technologies.
- On-Call Support: Participate in rotational backup support of 24/7/365 global applications as part of an on-call rotation, ensuring prompt response and resolution to incidents.
