Role Summary:
The selected candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the operational transition of automation equipment from engineering to production. Utilizing advanced technical processes, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing production tools, fixtures, and equipment upgrades, as well as analyzing existing manufacturing workflows to identify areas for enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and improve design, manufacturing, and assembly workflows
  • Implement changes to boost performance metrics
  • Oversee the development of tools and equipment for improvement projects
  • Support the commissioning and troubleshooting of automation systems
  • Create project timelines, schedules, and necessary documentation
  • Provide training for operators on new equipment
  • Conduct pre-installation assessments for equipment
  • Ensure safety compliance in all tasks
  • Willingness to travel to other facilities as needed
Required Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience in automation and continuous improvement projects
  • Hands-on expertise in troubleshooting automated systems
  • Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic, motorized, and robotic technologies
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline
  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification is advantageous
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Experience with 2D CAD tools (DraftSight, AutoCAD)
  • Competent in MS Office Suite and project management applications
