Key Responsibilities:- Direct and supervise department personnel to meet departmental goals and objectives.
- Select, onboard, and coach new team members.
- Schedule team members to ensure adequate coverage.
- Engage with customers through smiles, greetings, and product information.
- Take customer orders and ensure timely completion.
- Ensure department personnel follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Order products and supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Oversee preparation and serving of deli and food service items.
- Display items according to merchandising guidelines.
- Follow product recipes and rotate items for sale.
- Receive merchandise, audit invoices, and position cases.
- Count product for inventory purposes.
- Process cash register transactions and maintain accurate records.
- Use necessary equipment, including knives, slicers, and fryers.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years old.
- Two years prior experience in a fresh foods environment, preferably in a management role.
- Flexibility to work weekend, holiday, and evening shifts.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Serv-Safe certification preferred.
- Lift up to 25lbs on occasion.
- Reach above shoulder height and bend below waist.
- Work in walk-in coolers and freezers.
- Stand for long periods, bend, and twist.
- Be dexterous enough to use necessary equipment.
