Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Chef to lead our culinary operations at Mustang River Grill. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production of our pastry selections, ensuring the highest quality and freshness of ingredients, and collaborating with our Executive Chef to develop innovative menu items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pastry Operations Management: Oversee the preparation and presentation of a variety of bakery items, including bread doughs, pizza dough, meat pies, specialty kolaches, house pretzels, and other sweet and savory treats.
  • Ingredient Quality Control: Conduct regular checks to ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients, maintaining the highest standards of culinary excellence.
  • Menu Development: Assist in the creation of new menu items, working closely with the Executive Chef to develop innovative and delicious desserts.
  • Recipe Standardization: Standardize recipes and plate presentations to ensure consistency and quality across all pastry offerings.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to junior team members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Requirements
  • Culinary Experience: Previous experience in culinary arts, cooking, or related fields, specifically pastry, is essential.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Knowledge of Cost and Labor Systems: Familiarity with cost and labor systems, ensuring efficient operations and effective resource management.
