Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Chef to lead our culinary operations at Mustang River Grill. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production of our pastry selections, ensuring the highest quality and freshness of ingredients, and collaborating with our Executive Chef to develop innovative menu items.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the preparation and presentation of bread doughs, pizza dough, meat pies, specialty kolaches, house pretzels, and other bakery items.
  • Develop and standardize recipes, plate presentations, and menu items to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to create a comprehensive dessert menu and dessert specials that showcase our culinary expertise.
  • Prepare a variety of high-quality baked goods, including cakes, cookies, donuts, pies, and other sweet treats.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in culinary arts, cooking, or related fields, with a focus on pastry and baking.
  • Strong knowledge of cost and labor systems, with the ability to manage inventory and optimize production.
  • Passion for food and cooking techniques, with a commitment to innovation and creativity.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
