Job Title: Structures Superintendent

Flatiron Construction Corp is seeking a highly skilled Structures Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of critical infrastructure projects in the United States and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule, coordinate, and supervise production and workforce engaged at the segment site.
  • Supervise assigned project work and liaise between field engineering, estimating, and workforce to ensure project compliance with contract drawings and specifications.
  • Plan work methods, materials, equipment needs, and work schedule for assigned project work.
  • Review daily work schedule with direct reports and update monthly schedule from project feedback.
  • Review and understand project specifications to support job set up activities.
  • Work with work crews, field engineers, and local utility companies to identify hazardous areas on the job site.
  • Forecast the work schedule to identify possible issues and provide technical or scheduling recommendations to mitigate production issues.
  • Provide technical input to identify and resolve project risks, including construction methods, work plan, and material requirements, safety, and schedule activities.
  • Document daily activities and meeting notes using Company-approved document methods.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of heavy civil construction experience required.
  • 7+ years of construction management experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree a plus.
  • Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills required.
  • Strong leadership capability with internal drive to mentor and grow internal talent.
  • Proven ability to handle complex construction projects using strong organization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proven ability to manage difficult schedules and project demands while maintaining strict adherence to project safety program.
