Job Overview

Cantex Continuing Care Network is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. This rewarding role involves working with patients of all age groups, providing coordinated physical therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in promoting patients' potential during their home health episode. You will collaborate with physicians, clinical teams, and patients to prepare for discharge.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Administering non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, modalities, and other treatments as ordered by physicians.
  • Discontinuing any treatment that may be harmful to patients.
  • Applying concepts of infection control and standard precautions to prevent contamination and disease transmission.
  • Using effective interpersonal relations and communication skills to educate patients and caregivers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A graduate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited institution.
  • An active state license as a physical therapist assistant.
  • One year of experience as a physical therapist assistant (preferred).
  • Therapy skills as set forth in the Therapy Practice Act and other regulatory agencies.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
