Your Contribution:
The TKO initiative is in search of a Principal Systems Engineer with a strong background as an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) or Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for a critical and highly visible malware initiative. The selected candidate will collaborate with a dedicated team of engineers to maintain and enhance innovative tools and capabilities for this endeavor. This role offers a stimulating and dynamic environment that directly contributes to new mission capabilities.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience in creating, updating, and managing System Security Plans (SSPs).
- Familiarity with compliance requirements and system certification processes.
- Experience in supporting SSP re-accreditation efforts.
- Capability to provide compliance support for STE/STN.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in systems engineering tasks and assist in the development of deliverables in Technical Process Areas aligned with ISO/IEC 15288.
- Support systems engineering activities and contribute to multiple deliverables in Project and/or Technical Process Areas as defined by ISO/IEC 15288.
- Assist in systems engineering tasks within the ISO/IEC 15288 Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas.
- Conduct analysis of technical alternatives for projects and provide preliminary recommendations.
- Develop and present deliverables in various ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas.
- Oversee or coordinate the efforts of other contractor engineers or technicians on projects.
- Analyze and propose suitable engineering standards and processes for projects.
- Assist in evaluations to determine project implementation suitability.
- Contribute to innovative solutions for technical or engineering challenges.
- Communicate project status and technical aspects to stakeholders.
- Make independent decisions regarding engineering methodologies and issues.
- Approve the delivery of work products across multiple Process Areas as defined by ISO/IEC 15288.
- Lead systems engineering activities for projects, including supervision of project engineering staff and technicians.
- Resolve significant engineering challenges utilizing advanced technologies.
- Plan and develop engineering projects with unique or complex aspects that significantly impact enterprise capabilities.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in one or more Process Areas defined by ISO/IEC 15288.
Security Clearance Required:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in relevant fields such as Aeronautics, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems Engineering Management, or related disciplines including Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, and Physics from an accredited institution.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree.
- Eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience with a Master's degree or PhD.
- Twenty-four (24) years of general systems engineering experience (across any process area) with a High School Diploma or GED.
