Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Radiology Nurse to join our team at Akron Children's Hospital. As a Radiology Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and directing care for Radiology and Interventional Radiology patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and direct care for Radiology and Interventional Radiology patients
- Provide clinical problem-solving support for Radiology staff, students, and other healthcare providers
- Represent Radiology on various committees
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Ohio
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
- Experience working with all levels within an organization is preferred
- Experience in healthcare is preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office or similar software
- Possesses excellent assessment and rapid intervention skills for the Radiology patient
Education and Experience:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Ohio
- Certification: PALS certification within 6 months of hiring
- Years of experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a pediatric RN
- Must have excellent IV start skills for all ages, including neonates
Work Environment:
This is a part-time position with 16 hours per week. The work environment is onsite.
