POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lead Financial Analyst is tasked with overseeing and directing critical financial operations within the manufacturing industry. This role encompasses managing the finance team, ensuring the precision and punctuality of financial documentation, and steering the monthly closing processes. The Lead Financial Analyst will collaborate closely with the Controller to scrutinize financial reports, generate presentations for upper management, and formulate financial policies and protocols. Proficiency in manufacturing financial practices is vital for success in this position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with the Controller to facilitate the monthly and quarterly financial closing cycles.
  • Assist in the creation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and reporting packages.
  • Guarantee the prompt and precise preparation of all financial reports.
  • Draft and deliver comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, budgets, and variance analyses.
  • Oversee the monthly reconciliation of accounts and conduct thorough account evaluations; prepare and present monthly financial summaries.
  • Organize and lead monthly discussions with Project Management to ensure accurate tracking of manufacturing and project expenditures.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Finance to analyze and report on actual versus projected costs and profit margins for all manufacturing initiatives and products.
  • Coordinate and assist with the annual independent audit and the preparation of yearly tax documentation.
  • Investigate accounting regulations to ensure adherence to GAAP for all transactions.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES:

  • Directly oversee one employee/contractor within the Finance department.
  • Indirectly manage two employees within the Administrative department.
  • Exercise supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and relevant laws.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Five to ten years of experience in financial roles within the manufacturing sector.
  • Active CPA license preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of management.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; adept at managing competing priorities.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a positive approach to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and business insight.
  • Commitment to excellence and high performance standards.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint.
