About the Role

The Jackson Laboratory is seeking a highly skilled Study Director to lead our preclinical research efforts in neurobiology and pharmacology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, overseeing, and conducting in-life drug efficacy studies in various neurological disease mouse models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide scientific guidance and support to clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery and risk mitigation.
  • Lead technical teams and ensure staff have adequate training and mentoring to support scientific quality and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and practices established by the organization.
  • Work with colleagues to establish standards, models, and protocols, and ensure adherence to these standards.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in a life science or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a contract research laboratory, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industries.
  • Industry experience in neurobiology and pharmacology is required.
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills, with proven experience in mentoring direct reports.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to build key relationships, influence, and motivate others.
