The Senior Store Associate is expected to exhibit enthusiasm for the brand, technology products, furniture, print, and other services offered to our customers. This role involves employing Office Depot Inc.'s established sales techniques to proactively engage customers, drive sales across our full range of offerings, and accurately assess customer needs to guarantee satisfaction in every interaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by informing customers about Office Depot products and services. Utilize communication tools effectively to seek assistance throughout the sales floor and coordinate appropriate services and customer engagement.
  • When not directly assisting customers, engage in merchandise-related tasks to ensure compliance with merchandise presentation standards, including implementing plan-o-gram updates and merchandise set changes.
  • Proactively acknowledge and engage every customer to foster a positive shopping experience. Understand and apply the selling program to promote the best solutions and additional products or services.
  • Assess customer needs to identify additional offerings or services that may be beneficial, and determine if a referral to the Contract Sales organization is necessary.
  • Continuously enhance personal selling skills and specialized product knowledge. Support Technology, Tech Services, Furniture, and Print sales by participating in current programs, new product launches, and special initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and practices, while supporting loss prevention efforts.
  • Complete required training in Tech, Print, and other relevant areas, including obtaining necessary certifications.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Preferred 2 years of Sales and/or Customer Service experience.
  • Ability to utilize technology and print equipment relevant to the role and access necessary information for daily responsibilities.
  • Capability to process information and merchandise through the POS register system.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Strong selling skills and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic work environment.
  • Aptitude for coaching and training others in a professional setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
