Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Work Activities: Oversee and participate in work activities, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Plan Work Schedules: Assist in planning work schedules, determining workforce needs, material requirements, equipment needs, and crew training requirements.
  • Perform Primary and Routine Job Duties: Demonstrate the ability to perform the primary and routine job duties of the position, including supervising and working alongside Carpenters as assigned.
  • Coordinate Work: Plan, coordinate, and delegate work to crew members, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Signal Cranes: Safely signal cranes to ensure accurate and efficient placement of materials.
  • Direct Concrete Placement: Direct the placement of concrete, ensuring that it is done in accordance with specifications.
  • Handle Vibrating Situations: Handle vibrating situations, such as operating vibrating equipment, to ensure that work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect Work: Inspect work to ensure that it is performed in conformance with specifications.
  • Work in Inclement Weather: Work in inclement weather, including extreme cold and heat, noise, and dust from construction operations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Two years of related work experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to exert heavy physical effort, frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds of material and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance, if requested.
  • Physical Abilities: Frequently walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing.
  • Hand Tool Use: Frequent use of hand tools, such as power tools, circular saws, hammers, nails, and bolts.
Preferred Experience
  • Formwork/Concrete Construction Experience: Preference given to candidates with a minimum of three years of formwork/concrete construction experience supporting similar responsibilities at meets or exceeds performance expectations.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish: Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
