Job Summary

Industrial Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Aerial Lift Safety and Logistics Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about ensuring a safe working environment and providing logistical support to our aerial lift operators.

About the Role

This position involves working in various indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes under challenging weather conditions. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring work zones to ensure compliance with all safety regulations, particularly during aerial lift operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor work zones to ensure compliance with all safety regulations, particularly during aerial lift operations.
  • Ensure all personnel on-site are wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety vests, gloves, and eye protection.
  • Conduct safety checks and inspections of equipment, including ladders, harnesses, and aerial lifts.
  • Serve as the point person for emergency situations, ensuring prompt action and communication.
  • Assist aerial lift operators by setting up and securing work areas, removing obstacles, and providing necessary tools and materials.
  • Guide and direct equipment operators from the ground using hand signals or communication devices to ensure safety.
  • Safely load and unload tools, materials, and equipment for operators.
  • Set up traffic control devices, such as cones, signs, and barriers, to protect the work area and ensure the safety of the public and crew.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas by removing debris and keeping pathways clear of obstructions.
  • Assist with rigging tasks, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used and that equipment is in good condition.
  • Maintain constant communication with the aerial lift crew, ground team, and other departments to coordinate operations and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Report any safety concerns or hazardous conditions to supervisors immediately.
  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment used in aerial access work.
  • Report any defective or malfunctioning equipment for repair or replacement.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Prior experience in aerial access or utility work preferred, with a focus on safety protocols.
  • Certifications: OSHA safety certification or equivalent is preferred. Certification in traffic control, rigging, or first aid is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of safety protocols and practices in construction or utility environments.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
    • Familiarity with aerial access equipment and tools.
    • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off (PTO).
