Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting various processes including Pressure Testing, RGA Leak Checking, and managing high vacuum operations in a dynamic production environment.
- Formulating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure the safe and efficient manufacturing of thermoformed components.
- Participating in technical evaluations of final design documents and drawings, including Process Flow Diagrams, Control/Logic Diagrams, and Technical Specifications.
- Supervising the operation of vacuum brazing furnaces to achieve the required characteristics of intricate assemblies.
- Investigating and advancing product science to improve existing optical systems.
- Creating and assessing contamination control strategies, along with conducting material analyses.
- Coordinating thermal bake-outs and vacuum testing for hardware and scientific instruments.
- Designing mechatronic systems and automation processes for the production of ultra-high vacuum components, emphasizing quality and efficiency.
- Updating documentation to reflect current practices and rectify inaccuracies.
- Integrating mechanical and electrical systems through sensing, actuation, control systems, and software.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline, with proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, TurboCAD, or similar design software.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in processing or equivalent training.
- At least 3 years of experience in high vacuum environments within scientific or laboratory settings.
- Prior experience in managing mechatronics and robotics in manufacturing or laboratory contexts.
- A background in manufacturing is beneficial.
- Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively in a safe and efficient manner.
- Expertise in vacuum infusion and experience in refining manufacturing processes for composite products.
- Specialized training in vacuum technology and electrical testing.
- Proficiency with high vacuum hydrogen furnaces and contamination control techniques.
